CH Kings Creek Triple Threat

Blood Line of Champions 2

What Triple Threat and Marcia Foy accomplished together is a matter of history.  Upon his retirement from active competition, “Trippe” had won Best of Variety 396 times (still the breed record for any dog of any breed in the United States); and he had been Best Hound 84 times, with 177 additional Group placements bringing his total Group placements to 261.  He had been Best in Show at all-breed events eight times, and had been Best of Breed at three Specialty Shows, including the first one held by the National Beagle Club in 1970, judged by John P. Murphy.

Ch. Kings Creek Triple Threat was on the Top Ten Beagles in America in 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, and 1971.  He was the second Top Hound in America in 1970, fifth in 1969, and tenth in 1971, all on the Kennel Review System.  He was one of the Top Ten Hounds, with more that 10,000 points, for 1969.

Triple Threat’s Westminster record is another outstanding achievement, for he is the only Beagle to have four times won Best of Variety there; and in 1970 he was second in the Hound Group, which so far as we can recall is the highest place won by a Beagle in a Westminster Group since the A.K.C. divided the Hounds from the Sporting dogs.

As a sire, Triple Threat produced close to 80 champions.  His grandchildren are uncounted!

Note: This information is somewhat dated, but it is still impressive.  The article is from 1984.

Trippe is the father of Am/Can/Col/Dom CH Navan’s Triple Trouble C.D. and
